The contest is open to any amateur photographers that have travelled to or lived in Japan. Any photos that you have taken in Japan are eligible, and this year we have three entry categories:
You are open to interpret the categories how you would like, although you are only allowed to enter one photo in each category, so choose carefully.
For each category, prizes are available for first and second place winners:
- First place: a canvas print of the winning photo, plus a $30 restaurant voucher
- Second place: a $20 restaurant voucher
Entries will be taken from Monday, October 19 through to Monday, November 9, so start seeking out your best shots now! Each entrant is allowed to submit a maximum of three photos (one in each category), and photos can only be submitted digitally.
Entrants need to fill in the 2015 Photo Contest Entry Form and submit that via e-mail to email@example.com. Photos can be submitted either as e-mail attachments or shared via Dropbox.
Once all the submissions have been received, 10 photos from each category will be selected for display at the Japan Information and Cultural Centre (Level 18, The Majestic Centre, 100 Willis Street).
Public voting to decide the winners in each category will be open from Monday, November 16 until Friday, November 27. .
There will be a prize giving on the evening of Thursday, December 3 at the Japan Information and Cultural Centre to announce the winners.
