Monday 17 August and Tuesday 18 August – The 2016 JET Information Presentations
Two JETAA members presented to audiences interested in the JET Programme. Thank you to Beka Denby who presented in Palmerston North and Lingy Au in Wellington City, for sharing your JET experiences and inspiring future JETs to apply for the programme.
Audiences were also treated to a very special demonstration and presentation from visiting Japanese Cuisine Specialist, Chef Naoyuki Yanagihara before the JET presentations. Chef Yanagihara’s Washoku For All presentation introduced the principles of Washoku, a Japanese culinary concept considered a traditional practice as it’s inspiration draws from the delicate and beautiful balance of nature. Washoku presents a dish in such a way that it’s as appealing to the eyes as it is to the stomach.
