Bento are Japan’s famously creative and compact lunchboxes often made with cute designs or characters, but always made with a variety of tasty Japanese foods.
JETAA Wellington and the Wellington Sakai Association invite you to join us from 1:30 PM on Saturday 19 August for a class on making Japanese-style bento of your very own! The class will be run by JETAA Wellington member Katy McTeigue, of HelloKaty Bento. Katy is a former Kyoto JET who has made a name for herself designing bento for hungry Kiwis and running classes for people interested in making their own. This will be a great opportunity to enjoy some Japanese-style food while chatting with other like-minded folks.
The event is open to everyone, so invite your friends, family, and colleagues along for a fun and tasty Saturday! Click here to RSVPor click the poster below.
To cover the cost of ingredients and materials, the class costs $5 for JETAA or WSA members, or $10 for non-members.
