Hutt Japan Day is back for another wonderful celebration of Japanese food, culture, arts, and more! Of course, you can expect to find JETAA Wellington there again with our trusty taiyaki machine. If you’re interested in helping out (and getting a free taiyaki or two for your time), you can put yourself down on our volunteer sheet here.
What exactly is this event, you ask? Well, it’s a mini-festival full of Japanese cultural and sporting performances, language, dance, food-trucks and your chance to share in the culture of our sister city Minoh in Osaka, Japan!
Get a taste of Japan with taiko drumming and martial arts performances plus food trucks and stalls including The Hungry Mokey, Firebird, Rembuden, Matsuda Shouten Japanese food truck.
Inside, discover Japanese arts and crafts, cultural groups, watch dancing and singing performances, and pose for the Amazing Traveling Photo Booth.
