On the last Tuesday and Thursday of every month, the Japan Information & Cultural Centre (JICC) at the Embassy of Japan in the Majestic Centre puts on a free Japanese movie screening. Films are shown in Japanese with English subtitles.
Elevators to the 18th floor are available from 5:30 PM, and a short video about Japanese culture or history will be shown from 5:45. The film itself starts at 6:00 PM sharp, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early!

As a young boy, Shoya Ishida leads the class in bullying Shoko Nishimiya, the new girl in school, because she is deaf. Later, the rest of the class turn on Shoya; using him as a scapegoat for their own actions as well.
After graduating elementary school, Shoko and Shoya do not see each other again until an older, wiser Shoya, tormented by his past self, decides he must see Shoko once more. He wants to atone for his sins, but is it already too late?
