Making Over 300 Taiyaki at the Lower Hutt Japan Day

JETAA Wellington was very excited and happy to take part in the inaugural Lower Hutt Japan Day in November. With so many Japanese cultural performances, art, and food creating a wonderful festival atmosphere, we of course had to bring along our trusty taiyaki machine!


All in all, the intrepid team of volunteers made over 300 of the fish-shaped sweets! Otsukare~ 

It was a busy day, but a great opportunity to talk to the local community about Japan, and share a tasty little piece of it. Check out some more pictures below:
