Any photos that have been taken in Japan are eligible, and this year you can enter one of three categories:
• Current school students ( Years 1-13)
• Former JET Participants
• General Public (including university students)
Prizes for first and second place in each category:
• First place: Canvas print of the winning photo, plus a $50 restaurant voucher
• Second place: $20 restaurant voucher
Entries will be accepted from Monday, October 13 through to Monday, November 3, so start seeking out your best shots now! Each entrant is allowed to submit a maximum of three photos, and photos can only be submitted digitally.
Entrants need to fill out an entry form here (2014 Photo Contest Entry Form) and submit that via e-mail to email@example.com. Photos can be submitted to the same e-mail address either as attachments to e-mail, or shared via Dropbox.
After entires close on 3 November, 10 photos from each category will be selected for display at the Japan Information and Cultural Centre and then from Monday, November 10 until Friday, November 28 public voting will be open to decide on the winners in each category.
There will be a prizegiving in the evening of Thursday, December 4 at the Japan Information and Cultural Centre (Embassy of Japan, Level 18, Majestic Centre 100 Willis Street) to announce the winners.
