2017 Japan Photo Contest – VOTE NOW!

Voting is now open for the 2017 JETAA Wellington – Japan Embassy Photo Contest! This year nearly we received nearly 100 submissions across all categories: Pop Culture; Places; Pet; and Postcards from JETs.

You can now vote for your favourite in each category during business hours at at the Japan Information & Cultural Centre (JICC), in the Majestic Centre, Willis Street. Voting runs until 12 December 2017 when the winners will be announced.

The quality of photos was again excellent and it was a challenge whittling each category down to just ten photos each for public display. We were especially excited to see all the entries for the inaugural “Postcards From JETs” category.

All finalists are now all on display at the JICC just in time for the final week of 2018 JET Programme application drop offs, giving them a chance to vote and an extra insight into what life could be like on JET.  It also takes the contest full circle from applicants, to participants to alumni!

You can check out all the finalists in the short video below or on our Facebook Page.
